Step into the boots of a firefighter with Veiligheidsregio IJsselland’s groundbreaking multiplayer VR escape room. Designed to enhance teamwork and decision-making under pressure, this immersive training tool pushes players to think fast and act together in high-stakes scenarios.
With an admin tool for real-time monitoring, trainers can track player performance and manage sessions seamlessly. Whether it’s for training purposes or showcasing the fire brigade’s capabilities, this VR experience sets a new standard for innovation in emergency response preparation.
The Challenge
Firefighters face life-or-death decisions when responding to hazardous material incidents. Traditional training methods often lack dynamic scenarios where teamwork and practical knowledge are truly tested. The fire department needed an engaging, scalable solution to better prepare teams for these high-pressure situations.
Our Solution
We created a multiplayer VR escape room that immerses firefighters in a realistic virtual lab where teamwork is essential:
- Immersive Collaboration: Up to four players enter the VR space as avatars, working together to solve puzzles and rescue a trapped victim.
- Gamified Knowledge Testing: Training incorporates hazardous material procedures directly into puzzles, ensuring firefighters apply their expertise.
- Custom Admin Tools: Trainers can monitor progress, adjust difficulty, and evaluate team performance in real time.
